This would lead to The King of The Mountain teaming up with AMW and Scott D'Amore for Planet Jarrett. Raven was the NWA Champion, however there was controversy in Canada as Jeff Jarrett would beat Raven. One big match we get is Petey Williams vs Alex Shelley vs Chris Sabin. One thing that TNA did a really good job was making the X-Division very important. This really set the pace for the 60 minute adrenaline rush. The fans voted on the TNA Wrestling website that the very first match on the debut episode was to feature AJ Styles. The very first match is AJ Styles vs Roderick Strong. TNA Wrestling had never been on national television before so this was a gigantic step for them. This happened right after WWE Monday Night Raw left Spike TV to return to the USA Network. One of the biggest moves in pro wrestling history was when TNA Wrestling moved to Spike TV. Plus the boys talk about the Top 5 Top Lists. Also, we get the first iconic nWo black and white promo. In the main event it’s the WCW World Heavyweight Champion The Giant against Greg “The Hammer'' Valentine. The show is disrupted and they have to change the scheduled matches. This stops the show for some time as they try to recover and get medical attention for the hurt wrestlers. On top of that, they throw Rey Mysterio into a production trailer like a lawn dart. Scott Hall and Kevin Nash show up with baseball bats and take out the American Males. On this episode of WCW Nitro the nWo show up and cause chaos in the back of Disney MGM where the show is being taped. In 1996 Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall formed the New World Order. Plus, the boys answer your questions from the DEADLOCK Q&A. Whether you like the Invasion storyline or not this is one of the most iconic moments in WWE history. Austin beat up everyone and gave out a million Stunners. At the end of the night the WWF, WCW, and ECW were brawling as Stone Cold came back to the arena with a broken pool cue. Stone Cold is drinking at The Friendly Tap drinking the night away. The biggest threat the WWF has ever faced is WCW and ECW teaming up! Vince McMahon is begging Stone Cold Steve Austin to come back as the old Stone Cold and lead the WWF into The Invasion PPV. Plus, you won’t wanna miss the Hulk Hogan Real American Award! The boys got to check out the upcoming AEW Fight Forever video game and discuss AEW Double or Nothing 2023! Also, Hacksaw Jim Duggan and King Harley Race brawl all over the building during the entire show. This is where the infamous Vince McMahon Stand Back performance came from. Kane had a choice to make: he could either choose to join Evolution or he could vs Triple H for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Around 5 months ago, Evolution had taken the mask off of Kane, but this time Eric Bischoff wanted it for good. This is the WWE Raw episode where the “Summer of Kane” begins.
